Getting Started

What's the difference between a standalone Programme and The Partnership?

Our three Programmes (Developing Technical Excellence, Developing Professional Excellence, and Developing Leadership Excellence), can each be bought individually as a single investment, delivered face-to-face or virtually; the choice is yours.

The Partnership is an ongoing, 12-month relationship that gives you access to Programme materials, practical L&D tools, and regular time with us every month. Standalone Programmes suit a single, defined need; The Partnership suits firms who want ongoing structure and support.

How do I know which option is right for us?

Get in touch and tell us where your team is today. If you have one clear, immediate training need, a standalone Programme is usually the simpler starting point. If you’re looking to build a genuine L&D structure over time, The Partnership is designed for exactly that.

Do you only work with insurance brokers?

We work with insurance firms more broadly, not just brokers, including [MGAs, insurers, and claims firms, as applicable. If you’re not sure whether we’re a fit for your type of firm, just ask.

Our Programmes

Can we deliver the training ourselves, in-house?

Yes, if you’re a Partnership client. Depending on your level, you’ll be provided with presentations, trainer notes, and delegate workbooks for the Programme(s) included, so your own people can deliver sessions when it suits you. Standalone Programme purchases are delivered by us directly.

How long is each Programme?

Developing Technical Excellence runs across 10 modules, Developing Professional Excellence across 7, and Developing Leadership Excellence across 6. Each programme can be delivered as a face-to-face training or virtual. They have all been designed as 1 day workshops, but if you’d prefer a shorter, punchier version, or want something bespoke, let’s talk to understand your needs.

Is the content generic, or tailored to us?

The core content is built around real insurance-sector knowledge and challenges, not generic soft-skills theory. We’re always happy to discuss how a Programme applies to your specific context when we scope the work with you.

The Partnership

Is there a minimum commitment?

Yes. The Partnership runs on a 12-month minimum term. This reflects the fact that real professional development takes time to embed, not a single session.

What happens after the first 12 months?

This will be set out clearly in your contract when you sign up, and we’ll always be upfront about how renewal works before you commit to anything.

How do I access training materials?

Materials are shared with you directly by us, for example by email, as your training needs arise. For your first three months, we’ll provide what’s needed for your immediate priorities; after that, complete materials for your included Programme(s) are available whenever you need them.

How do the monthly hours work?

Each Partnership level includes a set number of hours per month with your dedicated L&D partner, to use for strategy support, implementation help, coaching, or hands-on delivery – whatever’s most useful that month. Hours are designed to be used within the month, so it’s worth having a rough plan for what you’d like to cover. Hours do not roll over from each month, so you’re unable to bank them up and use them all at once. We will scope and plan this out when you get in touch.

Can we upgrade our Partnership level later?

Of course! Get in touch and we’ll talk through moving from Foundation to Growth, or Growth to Leadership, as your needs change. We will keep an eye on your training needs and will make recommendations along the way to which partnership model we believe suits you best.

What if we need to cancel?

Because of the 12-month minimum term, the Partnership isn’t cancellable on demand during that period, except in specific circumstances set out in your contract. If your circumstances change, talk to us. We’d always rather have that conversation than lose you as a client.

Insights Discovery

What is Insights Discovery?

It’s a psychometric tool that helps your people understand their own working style and communication preferences, and how to adapt to everyone else’s. We use it both inside two of our Programmes and as a standalone team workshop.

Is Insights Discovery profiles included in the price?

The profile itself is a separate cost which isn’t determined by us – these are set by Insights Discovery. The cost of the profile will depend on how you’d like the profiles to be built, which we’ll always be upfront about this cost before you commit.

Can we book Insights Discovery without a full Programme?

Absolutely! It’s available as a standalone team workshop if you want to strengthen how an existing team works together without committing to a wider Programme.

Working With Us

Are you FCA-regulated?

We’re a training and development provider, not an FCA-regulated firm ourselves. Our content is built to support your Training & Competence obligations, but it doesn’t replace your own compliance advice or sign-off.

How do we get started?

Get in touch and tell us a bit about your team and where you are today. We’ll take it from there.
